Default efi live help

im a new user to efi live and have had no sucsess tuning i have a 1998 to 2002 conversion with the van map programed in. the car seems to run fine but i can tell that its running a little rough.

i tryed advncing timing by 3 i upped the fuel by 3 in the high rpm and droped it by 2 in the lower. i also added a little dwell by 1 milli and upped the maf tables by 1 it still seems to run the same but a little more responsive with low end when i do the same tune as above with out maf and adding fuel to the table at low and high smothining the peeks as much as i can i get a car with less tourqe and more spin in the mid end.

if you have any tuning tips for me let me know

i have ls1 with all ls6 blotons intake 85mm trottle body paceseter header and y pipe k tech rod bolts slp oil pump and chain tr55 plugs and wires full slp induction ram air turn one power stering pump

I did the same swap. How did the car run before you swapped? Was it tuned for your mods? Which tune did you use as a base tune? I initially used a tune off of holdencrazy which migrated a 99 tune to a 2002 Operating system. My car actually ran better with that tune than it did with a professional tune. I just needed to tweek the idle, and lower the timing a little cause of my turbo. If your car was tuned before you can migrate the old settings to the new tune, mostly VE, spark, and MAF.

You need to spend more time with the scanner. There are many preconfigured MAPs that will help you out. Using the bidirectional controls or a RR give the car what it wants.

As I mentioned to you, the 2002 tune does not have EGR provisions. If you still have your EGR installed that may cause issues

you say 98 carmaro? Or 98 truck.... If you are doing a swap to a 2002 pcm with a Camaro, then you DONT use the Van file. If you are a truck that is the only time you need to do that as your 98 truck was the black vortec pcm.

hmm i am pretty sure that in order to make the 98 fuel guage work you have to segment swap in the van fuel segment
