Should I do this?
Im contemplating holding off on getting new tires on my 16" wheels, and wait to buy 17"s and then buy tires. or is there a good tire for a 16" wheel?
mods are in sig, and yes traction is hard to find
tires im running now are ******** that came with the car

with 16s you have more sidewall flex which is a plus, but with the 17s you can get more width, so its really up to which would be more beneficial at the track.
but 17s looks much better which is a big plus if your into appearance

255/50/16 MT ET radials will hook more power than you have now. Been there done that. I really suggest them and think you will like them. I went 1.70's 60' on them and had just a few more mods than you. Plus, with stock rims and these innocently narrow tires, you might just give someone more than they bargained for.
