Default a/f check on the street with lm-1

how do you guys get a nice long curve to your a/f graph.
do you use 2nd at 3000 and hold 6000. or drive or
how would you do it on the road, like thro it in open loop and go wot to 6 bills
or what trying to geta good curve on graph
trying to do it from a dead stop seems not to work so great.
do u try and simulate a dyno or what........im sorry its sunday im fried.

So you're saying it's richer in the middle of your RPM range and leaner at the bottom/top? That's really what you want....more fuel around peak torque (12.5 or so) and less above/below (12.8~13.0 or so).

As for how I do it, I like 3rd gear (M6 + 3.73's). Start around 1600 and let 'er rip. It's probably close to your 2nd gear with your 2.73's. The challenge is finding an 'abondoned private road' to make your run on. The ideal place is the dyno....and then adjust for any %error from street to dyno.

OIC...the LM1 isn't connected to your HPT so you're looking at the LM1 log next to the HPT log?

The one thing that should be consistent between the two is time. When you floor it, there may be a .1~.2 second delay between the LM1 and HPT logs. If you can go based on 1/10th second intervals from there, you should be able to match up AFR to RPM. Ideally, you should wire it to HPT or even get the RPM logging attachment for the LM1 that will read 4 or 5 additional inputs. I have one that I never use if you want to buy it off me. LMK...
