Official Las Vegas Invasion Caravan

Though we could start an official post that tells everyone “Location” and “date leaving” and what clubs are coming to represent.

Just a brief summary to clear the air as details are starting to appear on the website: www.lasvegasinvasion.com.

Friday night will be a meet and greet Car Wash event so everyone can shine up the rides once they arrive in town.

Saturday morning there is possibly going to be a dyno at a local shop. As of my speaking to Sarge Friday, this is still to be determined. There will be a separate cost for the dyno and awards will be giving to the big dogs.

Saturday evening at about 6pm as LVMS there will be a quarter mile run. The track might be shared with another event in progress and number lanes are to be determined.

Sunday will be the car show.

Note this is an F body event, but Sarge and LVFB have opened it up to all GM. F body’s will be giving special treatment at the shows and awards ceremonies, but all GM is welcome to attend.

Personally I have people in my club coming in Friday and again on Saturday. I am still in the processing getting a head count and deciding what time we are leaving.

Sarge has set up suites from the Tuscany @ $125.00 night. Looks like you can get a suite with 2 queen size beds, so couples can double up and share the expense.

I'm bummed because they promised $140.00 for two nights (Tuscany), but the went back on the deal. I guess there are other events going on that weekend in Vegas so most rooms are at a premium. This is actually a deal for a suite.

damn. i was hoping for the 140/2 nights.

oh well.

I am still trying to find out who from my club is going.

I went in 04, It was a fun time..Long azz drive though coming back..Bumper to friggin bumper traffic on the 15

Just some info on those rooms, if you get the two double beds, you could easily sleep three in the room (one on each bed, one on the couch) or more if people don't mind the floor. Actually, you could sleep 2 to a bed depending on your level of homophobia...

Another option is to tip the staff (not the front desk) and get yourself a roll-away for another bed, and avoid paying the extra money (~$20/nt).

Those rooms are really big compared to the average hotel room, you'd be surprised.

Me and two other car's are coming up so far from Nor Cal.

Anyone leaving around 3pm in the Anaheim/OCish area? I'd be nice to have some friendly Fbod company to sit in traffic with :) - If you don't mind cruising with someone that doesn't go above 70-75mph... cops like the 15 durring the rush hour (or day, if you will). PM me if anyone's interested in cruising up later in the day. I can't make it to the caravan because I have class from 11 till 2:20.

We are meeting off the 210 and the 2 and doing a nice spirited drive thru Angeles Crest and drop down the other side to Palmdale.

I got my Trans Am up and running, but its not smogged and registered yet. So I'm sporting Team FWD. :cool:

Thanks to LVFBodies, great bunch of people. Even though I didn't win anything from the raffles, I'm looking forward to next year.
