Default m6 shifting issues, please help im stumped!!!!!!

ok i have a 2001 ta m6 and recently put in a new centerforce clutch, and here lately when im just daily driving i can shift just fine, but if you take the car to 5k rpms and go to shift into gear there is a hesitation for a second, and it feels like its hitting a wall, but then it finnally falls into gear. is this the tranny going out or do i have clutch problems, any body have any ideas????

my jeep cherokee does that too but i dont know what is is because i dont really need to shift it hard like my camaro. But i just shift it harder if i need do downshift into high rpms and it has not given me any problems and i have been doing that for a year and a half.

Sounds like you have air in the system to me, how did you bleed it when you did the clutch work?

Not Sure What Blocker Rings Are. Shifted Fine Until I Put The Centerforce In.

You have to get bigger lines, or bore them yourself. The more hp you have the worse it is. with your 411 hp, you might want to look at getting the lines off of an 02 car, they are bigger. First though, bore your lines, when you put in a new clutch in the t56 without boring the lines under load it creates vacuum and causes it to delay and stick like you are still in gear. the most common this happens in 3rd. bassically, its like adding a blower and nitrous, adn leaving your fuel system stock. my friends car with about 500hp, still stuck when he bored the lines, but it made it better. then he ordered a set for an 02 and he still had to bore them but its fine now. try boring them 1st adn see what it does.

bleed your system, try upgrading your master to an adjustable unit if you still have the problem......

Get or borrow a mityvac and bleed it from the reservoir, you can suck the bubbles out from there that's what I always do that's why I asked how you did it. Its an invaluable tool for many things. Sears has a cheap one as does harbor freight. You just find the fitting that fits the hole at the bottom of the reservoir tightly and pump the bubbles out without getting fluid in the vac (at least past the catch) and do this while pumping the clutch. Then drive the car and repeat until all bubbles are gone. First I would get an 02 line or which ever one it is or drill yours. Im not a fan of adjustable masters. Obviously this is a two man job, it can be done with one but is better with two. Boone.
