Default turbo motor compression

hey guys/gals...here is my situation

I'm picking up a 98Z from my buddy. The car has an LME built 347. I believe the compression is in the 11s...I think it is 11:1. To date the car has been a beast in NA forum. The car has run a best of 11.50 @ 118 with a 4l60 that was overshooting 3rd gear. The guys at LME said that the motor will handle a 200shot with no problem, and originally that was the plan, but I want to boost it.

I'm planning on doing a custom turbo set up, most likely I am going with dual 60-1s. I'm shooting for 600whp.

My question is this: Is this compression too much for turbo? Even in low boost?

My options are to just yank this motor and sell it as it is and build a new motor starting with a 6.0 block....or.....trying to lower the compression on this motor and boosting it.

Also, what can I do to lower the compression on the current motor without changing pistons out.

anybody have any suggestions? I appreciate any help in advance.

On pump gas, that is a bit too high compression. Get some heads with a 72cc chamber (317,035 LQ9/LQ4 or swap to the L92s w/L76mani) have them ported out a bit and use a thicker head gasket.

Any idea what that would bring my compression down to?

What cc pistons and heads are on the motor currently. You should be able to change one or both and have a nice boost motor....maybe the cam as well while it's apart.
