Default Patriot dual valve springs

are these known to be a noisy valve spring? after installing them, and properly heat cycling them before seeing any rpm over 3000ish, they still seem to be noisy. My car sounds like a sewing machine haha

i believe so. im using stock rocker arms, patriot 226/226 .585/.585 112lsa, patriot duals, and comp 7.400" pushrods. from what i heard this setup should be fine. It runs perfect, just with the radio off (or quiet) and windows either up or down i can hear alot more mechanical noise under the valve covers. doesnt sound bad...just noisier than stock

find out the size of the cam. i dont know about patriots but some cams have smaller base circles than stock, so people run 7.425 pushrods.

I run a LSK lobe on the intake (.640 actual lift) with the Patriot Extremes, and i don't think it sounds that bad. I am using 7.450" Comp pushrods.

I'm running the Patriot Duals with a 224/224 581 581 cam, stock rockers, and 7.400 pushrods. They were very noisey at first, but I think it might have gotten better with a little mileage. Either that, or I just got used to it...

Thats very wierd b/c I have that exact same set-up & it's quieter than it was stock. Maybe my 5.3 heads being milled .018" helped it out some??

I run the Comp 228/230 cam with the Patriot duals and it's noisy. I installed a set of 7.425 pushrods and it's still noisy but not quite as bad.

Both my cammed ls1 cars were quite noisy. I'd call them clackity, like something was loose.
