Borla Muffler (XR-1)
Would you recommend me swapping out my old Flowmaster 80 w/ the XR-1 muffler? I'm looking for muffler only, should this be a problem? How's the sound compared to my Flowmaster?

The 40943 Borla XR-1 is a bullet muffler but oval. 1 in and 1 out, it can't be used unless you want 1 tip. Or if you have SLP Loudmouth, then you'd want to use 40085. The 40085 is round:

Thanks for the pics, helps alot. So as of right now i have a FM 80 w/ 1 in and 2 outs (dual tips).... does this mean if i purchase the bullet style from Borla on TR that i won't be able to keep both tips?
Here are some pics to help paint a picture:
My clearance at its lowest point
Old FM 80
I-pipe... is this where i could put the Borla X-1 Bullet?
Rear View
Any suggestions on how i could do this? I'm not looking for a system, already got a TSP 3" Y, i'm just lookin' for a solid Borla muffler (mostly for sound). I'd like to maintain dual tips if possible, the ones i have now are fine unless i absolutely need to upgrade (don't see why i would). Any help would be much appreciated.

Borla makes another XR1 muffler that is considerably expensive, but it actually has like 3 smaller diameter pipes inside the one main pipe. It makes an excellent scavenging affect.

run the XR-1 on the back, ull have one functional and one just on a hanger or run it on the i-pipe, eliminate the FM in the back and run a pipe in its place, if u want two functional tips have them fab it up for u loudmouth style

I ran a oval 4" XR-1 out back for about a week & took it off... Did not like it at all, had a baffled sound at idle & too damn loud at wot.... It's sad how many damn mufflers I've changed on this 4" system trying to find the sound I want without rasp... Who would have guessed a flowmaster single in/ out 30 series race muffler gave me the sound I was looking for!
