224/230 cam questions
Been looking at doing a cam swap in my A4 WS6, so far its got long tubes and true duals. Lid and filter, the usual. going in with it is a 3200ish stall. I had a comp 224/ 230 recommended to me and was wondering what everyones opinion on it was for my setup, as it was the first time I had heard it come up as an option.
Thanks guys

Someone recommended a 224/230? I'd think a 224/224 would work just fine. With LS1's you don't really need to go that big on the exhaust...I've got a 222/222 .589/.589 114LSA. It pulls hard in every gear, and is tame when it needs to be. I have an M6, not an A4...

I have just installed this cam along with AFR 205's (62cc) and the FAST 90/90 with all the bolt ons. I haven't got the engine back in as of yet. But I am glad to hear people have had good success with it. I researched alot before choosing it for a daily driver type with performance in mind.
Mine is also a 114 installed at a 113 ICL.
I am looking to hit 11.70's/80's when I get it back together with a 3400 Yank and 9" with 3.70s.
Anyone have track times with this one?

Lets not worry about numbers...every dyno varies....
The difference between a good ole fashioned 224 and a 224/228 is peanuts...
You will be happy with either cam! They are both proven..
Hell, I'd go with something a bit bigger, like a G5X1 (228/232) that way it is great on the street AND the track!
However, I would go with an LSA that will be more street oriented and fun---and oh yeah a TORQUE monster...like a 110+2, or a 112+4
Good luck!
