Bang for Buck header an y pipe combo? I want a set of stainless LT's but i hear so much about XS, Pacesetter, Jethot??? Any inputs on which one to go with?

true if you're into stainless... but if you want to keep in the heat IN the header and not in your engine bay.. get the coated headers...

Ill take keeping the headers till the car dies over keeping the heat in the header anyday, the coating eventually wears off and then the headers rust...you could coat the stainless for a few hundred $ and then have the best of both worlds but if you are going to go that far, you might as well just get some coated kooks.

I was gonna say the XS right now. Comes with a y pipe and everything stainless for under 600$.

bang for the buck i would say pacesetter. At least they are a real company unlike those ebay companies that give ya "you buy it, no returns, no support screw you".

XS headers are nice but their Y pipe is poo.

do either of these sets come with all in need to install such as gaskets, bolts..etc..etc...or do you guy recommend buying these seperately? I know the ones that came with a set of my older headers on my thirdgen leaked like a 10 year old condom!!!!

pacesetter comes with new stuff but it is junk and XS doesnt come with anything but clamps. Best thing that everyone does is use stock header bolts, stock gaskets and get some stainless band clamps for the collectors. If your car is older, get new gaskets from GM dealer, they are like $10-15.

I used the Ultraseal Mr. Gaskets and stock bolts. Works great, no leaks.

i used Summit brand stainless band clamps for the collectors to Y pipe, and felpro metal header gaskets, and used the pacesetter bolts.
