Default lt1 OBD1 conversion question

ok if i do a OBD1 conversion on a 96 f-body, do i still have to use the OBD2 cable with the module in it or do i use the OBD1 USB with the OBD2 connector(95 style)?

I would THINK u would have to use the 95' style cable, due to the fact you wouldn't be changing the ALDL port..(i think)

well you dont change anything..you swap PCM's and put a resistor inline of the #22 port of the blue side of the OBD1 pcm unless you swap KS's so im thinking i wont have to have that stupid module

I used a 95 computer in my 96 WS6. Mine had the resistor so I didn't have to swap knock sensors. I did use an LT4 knock module though. I did it when nobody had done anything with OBDII and was setting codes like crazy when I did the cam change. I had LT1Edit and it worked great with the 95 computer.
