Default uhhh help- M6

Recently I went to turn on my car and I put the car in neutral to go ahead and turn it on, when I felt something rattle when I went from side to side. I thought nothing of the noise, but now the car starts to almost grind when the car is in neutral, and in just about every gear. It's not a grind, like metal versus metal, but something in there. There's a noise, and it's loud and not very appealing.

I took it to a shop, the guy drove it and told me there is a bearing on the end of the output shaft, and it may need to be replaced. He also said maybe a clutch spring may have broke. The tranny feels good and the clutch does too.

I have no idea, and don't feel like paying 300 bucks to have them drop the tranny and check it out

Any ideas?
