your warranty is only voidable if they can prove that the part you added caused the failure....so supercharge it.

The caddy dealer where I got mine said if I charge it and something happens to the motor then the cost would be on me.....

I personally talked to the general manager at my dealership in order to figure this out. the answer is that the choice really lies with the dealer. SOme are more lax than others. It is true that the part that has been modified has to be causing the problem but they have ways of screwing you. For instance Nitrous 100% voids the warranty in any case. As far as a supercharger goes, i was told by my dealer that that would also void my engine warranty. But for instance the dealer just replaced my transmission for me a few days ago (bad bearing) and i had my CAI and Corsa exhaust on the vehicle. They did not give me any problem as the CAI and corsa would not damage the transmission. (they did however charge me 160 bucks to replace some bolts they had to cut off due to my over tightening lol) So, conclusion is...i went with a nitrous system for big power because my installer said if i have any problems and need to take it to the dealer he will take it off and re-install it for me. But, yea just get your dealers opinion

my service advisor said that they would be ok as long as they didn't pull a code. You live in orlando so try asking tony what the deal is with his dealership.
I agree, I always tell potential customer's who ask if parts are going to void their warranty, to talk to their service advisor. These days it seems they will cover more work under warranty, as their service shops don't have a lot of work coming in to keep their mechanics busy. Bob
