Default Crane valve sprig tool with L92 heads (will it work?)

I am sure the Crane tool will not work because of the offset rocker design. Looks like Crane will have to make one specifically for the L92. Until then my SLP tool will work OK.

That is a good question. I didn't even think about that. I have the Crane dual spring compression, but never put any thought into it as far as using it for a L92 head. Hopefully someone can confirm.

Default Have you tried the KD tool?

I have the KD tool that works on the LS7 heads (which are similar to the L92 heads). It comes very close to contacting the rails - I even had to grind some clearance. I called KD and they do not have an extension for their compressor.

SLP has a good price on their valve spring tool. It comes with the longer extension for taller springs. It also comes with a air hold fitting set.
