Bbk Tb??
I currently have a bbk intake manifold and a ported and polished TB. I was thinking about buying a BBk 85mm Tb, but I heard that some people were experiencing idle problems. Can anyone vouch? Is it even worth it to buy compared to what I have now. I have hellion cam w/ stock heads so I figured any bigger Tb would be better.

The consensus around here is you typically can't distinguish the bbk tb from a rat's *** which obviously means it sucks but of course that depends on who you ask. When running the bbk intake it might be different.

Well I basically heard the same thing from a guy who owned a trans am, he kept having idle problems. I just wanted to get some other opinions b/c the local lsx shop had been pushing it. Thanks for your help.

yea, i used to have one. . it will make a whistle sound also until the car is warm up. I have a 2000 Z28, but now I change the whole engine. If you want the BBK ill sell it to you for 145 bucks OBO its just collecting dust at the momemt. Still attach to my old LS1 intake.

The problems I heard of were regarding idling, whistling, and the tb blade getting stuck. I don't think those problems are worth putting up with. I would suggest you get your tb ported by Bo White. Mine looks great and I did experience some SOTP gains.
