Default Who here did a A4 - M6 swap and used a M6 harness???

A swapped out my 4L60e to a T-56 a few months ago and swapped out the harness as well. Since the swap, my airbag light is on. The codes show passenger side. I checked all of my connections and all look good. Do I need to splice a wire into the PCM harness or something? Anyone else have any issues?

Hard to believe that no one did a swap and used a M6 harness...

I did the swap along with a M6 engine harness of the same year. I have a 1994 though so it maybe alot different. I would first check to make sure you have the connectors coming into the firewall on the pass side connected. I had three. If you removed the steering wheel check for any plugs there. I forgot a little orange wire and had no A/C or turn signals. Check the Airbag sensor box too. I have one directly aft of the shifter. I hear some cars have them behind the pass side kick panel. Maybe something unpluged there. Good luck. I hate finding gremlins like this myself.

All the yellow colored plugs are Airbag on my car. Unplug the battery or you may depoy them while pluging the connectors in.

I did my swap and spliced just 2 cables of near the center console. That means that I didn't need to take out the whole harness and dissasemble more dashboard components or engine bay connectors than nessesary. I think thats why most people who makes the swap use the already placed and with good fitment stock harness.

The airbag light being on has nothing to do with the engine harness. You may have bumped or cut something by accident when working on it? Or maybe it is just coincidence.

I did it too on my 99 without a hitch. There is an airbag sensor in the center between the seats that is near where you have to splice a reverse light wire, maybe you bumped that? Otherwise thats all on the interior harness which is separate from the engine/trans harness
