New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - TA steering wheel help

Could anyone please tell me what would cause the buttons not to light up on my steering wheel, and what i could do to fix it. It just happened one night i got in the car and the buttons didn't light up. So if anyone could give me some advise i would truly appreciate it, thanks.

Mine go in and out when I turn the wheel sometimes, but are usually out. I'd love to tear it open sometime and see why.
