Default Will my 98 Stock MAF work okay on my 2000 M?

I always thought that 98-02 Stock MAF were the same, just like I thought 98-02 Throttle Bodies were the same and interchangeable, reason I'm asking is I see alot of posts of specific labeling on these parts, and my car is sputtering after a tune and longtubes, I am using my 98MAF and 98 Throttlebody on my 2000, they both were in alot better condition. THanx for your input. DoubleK

i believe the 98 throttle bodies had a different sized bracket on the shaft, where the throttle wire goes. if the 98 bracket is smaller maybe the throttle body is opening up quicker than what your car is telling it do (being tuned for the larger bracket)... just a thought.
