Default True duals w/ single chamber flows giving me problems!!

Whats up guys,

Well, Ive had the new true dual setup on my car for about 4 days now. I tucked it up real tight and as high as possible. I had it all welded aswell.

Problem 1:
My mufflers continually hit the ground! I have them pushed up as high as possible and they still hit the ground on slight bumps on the road, and even on the highway! I probally have about 3/4 of a soda can clearance with these single chamber flows.

Problem 2:
Ive read up alot on how these mufflers sound amazing on true duals. Well, they dont sound so amazing with my setup in my opinion. Ive had about a handfull of people say its amazing sounding, but really the only opinion that counts is my own. I really dont like the sound of it. I honestly liked the sound of my y pipe with sweet thunder welded in.

Are there any other mufflers you would suggest that sound damn good with true duals? I know what sweet thunder sounds like, and i know what single chambers sound like ....

Throw some ideas at me!

Joe

not to get off topic too much but on your old setup did you just have a sweet thunder welded to the end of your y pipe then dumped? that is what I was thinking about doing but can't decide what bullet or muffler to put on it. if that is what you did how did it sound?

Are u running these on ur LT1? ive never heard the 1 chambers on an LT1......Mine tuck up really well and the only way i scrape is with a full car going over massive speed bumps.

You might check out moroso spiral flows. I built an x-pipe dual setup for a local lt1 car with those mufflers and it sounds very good.
