Default help with forged internals

in order for me to run more boost, i need to get forged internals.

Now im trying to get as little as possible and be alright. Is pistons and rods ok? or do i absolutely need a crankshaft?

With the LT1 engine, I would indeed include a forged crankshaft to your combination. Bob

After you get your engine the way you want it you might think about a good alky kit to help with the boost, Also I didn't want to buy racing fuel, I have a 5.3 04 SSR and put a alky spray on it to run 10 pounds of boost, At first it was a pain in the A** till I tuned for the alky, It run 12.70's, 408 rwhp 492 rwtq, The guy that tuned it thinks it might run 11's with tires, Not bad for a 5080 pound truck, I will say again alky is a pain if not tuned for it, Sure not for everyone

I heard the crankshaft is solid as a rock. Just what I heard. I was just gonna do pistons, rods and ARP hardware.

I would do a Forged crank in a LT motor, with the blancer/opti hub/ blower pulley you have a lot of load on that snout, their have been cases where the snout has been sheered of the crank.
