Default New Cam and oil pump problems

Just installed the new 224/224 .581/.581 112 cam in the car. I noticed that the car has a slight hesitation right off idle at between 20-50% throttle angle that it didn't have before. I have talked to other people with this cam and they have the same problem. Does anyone else here with this cam have this problem? If so, do you know the reason it does this and what did you do to correct it?

Also, I changed to a LS6 oil pump and my oil pressure went down. Is this normal?

Did you tune your car yet? If not, do that first...

As for the oil pressure, not sure. (I hate to suggest the classic O-ring problem because every post mentions it lately!)

The car has had alot of tuning with the idle by a person that is very high up on the "tuning charts". I have full confidence in his tuning skills! The only thing left to tune is the fuel. The oil pressure is still on the safe side, but I did notice a slight drop.

I've noticed some hesitation with mine, though I always thought it was because of the aggressive clutch and the car not being tuned.

As for the oil pump, my car started out at 60psi @ idle when I bought it, and it slowly dwindled itself down to about 40psi @ idle (when warm) throughout the break in. When I did the cam I swapped out to a katech ported unit and the pressure stayed the same. 10k miles later I still see about 40psi at a warm idle, 55-60psi under cruising, and maybe 70-75psi under WOT.

The oil pressure used to be at 40psi at idle, but now it is a bit lower. I am not that worried about it yet... just want to see if this could be a problem. I think I am still safe!

As for the hesitation.. this happened right after I put in the new cam. My last cam did not do this so I figure it had something to do with this certain cam. I can see how you would think it was the clutch... however, my car is an automatic and it is tuned. Anyone else have a suggestion?
