input shaft broke? Jumped in my 95 ta this morning put it in reverse and she backed up fine.I went to put it in first and she wont move.It seems that there is no power going through the tranny.The clutch is fine you can here it engaging,it goes in gear without using the clutch and it goes in any gear-1st through 6 to reverse without engaging the clutch.It didnt make any noise when this happened and still does not make any noise.It seems that there is no power going through the tranny.Do you think the input shaft broke?Or what else could cause this problem?And it gave no warning,it just quit.Thanks for any info.

If you can go through the gears while the car is turned off then the tranny should be okay and it is a clutch issue. When I broke my input shaft, you could not change gears when the car was turned off.
