Default ASA cam kicks A$$

Just fired it up again tonite, got everything adjusted right, now for fine tuning. Took it out for a cruise and got two tickets, and I wasn't even doing anything wrong. One for no front plate, and the second for not having an inusrance card on me. I would have rather gotten a ticket for doing the 120 mph I was minutes before spanking a mustang! But anyways, cam is great...I think I'm in love w/my car all over again!!!!

Thanks for posting about the ASA. Please explain the adjustments you've made. Can you also describe the drivability and power curve of your car now? Any surging/idle problems? And by the way, you wouldn't have written this post from the comfort of wherever you are if you would have been caught doin' 120, you'd be consulting your lawyer right about now...

Well I forgot to mention that I had the crane 1.8 rockers, that I got from a friend installed. Well the first time around I didn't get the adjustment right, so I had my friend come over and learn me a thing or two, (happy now josh :p). Had to give him a few but it was worth it. All I really adjusted so far was I have the idle set to 900, and changed my rev limiter to 6750, but in order to keep it going I have to rev it up to about 2000 and ease off the clutch a little bit. Still trying to get used to it, and definately needs some tuning because it's running really rich, but one thing at a time. Just like most people said not much power till about 2000-2500 rpms then your off I will post more as I figure out tuning, but that could be awhile as I'm off for a month or so to an exciting place where there's a lot of sand and no water..... Hope this helps out a bit on anybodies curiosities of this cam.

I also failed to mention that with the stock cam and heads that I was only able to get up to about 80mph in third gear, now I can get up to a 100 and a little over before I have to shift.

With 255/60/15's and a 3.73 I figure 96 mph @ 6000

yeah with the stock setup I was at about 80 but now i'm over a 100mph. I should be able to get more with some tuning. And since I upped the rev limiter in all the gears. I don't see why I could get at least 105....

I was getting up to 104mph in 3rd with my M6 on my stock car. Anyway, I'd love to have this cam but I already have a T1 so I'm going to stick with it.
