L92 and ls3 the same block?
I am wanting to build an lsx motor. I was planning to do forged ls2 with the l92/l76 combo with some spray.
Now I'm thinking about using the bigger bore block. I was looking at SDPC's site and found l92 blocks. Iam sure that the ls3 will be out soon. Does anyone know if there are any differences (or major differences) in the two blocks.

From my understanding they are the same block. I've read in a couple different press releases that 6.2 trucks and cars will share the same block. They were speaking of 08's. I haven't called my local gm parts guy and verified it yet. If they're any differences I'd say they were trivial. Sometimes parts have different part number but are identical.

L92 is designation (coding) for Escalade & Trucks...LS3 is designation (coding) for performance cars...same **** different name as far as the block is concerned. The heads are different though...check out the sticky.
