is their any issues with the 4.100 cranks in the 6.0L iron blocks?

Default is their any issues with the 4.100 cranks in the 6.0L iron blocks?

i was told rod angle and ring package but also have heard diamond pistons with a wider ring has the right package? i want to run the L92 heads with either the 4.00 or 4.100.

Ideally you need custom well designed pistons. Other than that most of it should be the same. You'll probably need to clearance a few things like rod bolts, shim the windage tray, etc...

Just make sure you get a piston designed with the longer stroke in mind. I'd suggest calling Wiesco. The did mine for my 4.185" stroke.

I was involved in a 4.100 stroke Eagle crank with 6.125" rods and JE pistons ~ 2 years ago and had a problem with the counter weight hitting right under the wrist pin on the piston. Also when the piston would rock at top dead center, the skirt would hit the counterweight as well. It resulted in ~3 engine tear downs because we couldn't find the problem of the knocking. You had to physically push the piston skirt to get it to rock enough to interfere like it was running. Oh those were nightmare days. Maybe the piston and crank companies have their **** together by now on the longer than 4.00" strokes.
