Default what program can do this for the 06 gto?

turns the factory shift light in the dash on and allows u to program the rpm it comes on at. also lets u customize the start up display to read what u want and i was told it could change the way the dash lights up at night. i saw a guy doing it at bradenton but he didnt want to say what he was using.

That would be kinda neat if I could get the Skip shift light to light up at preset RPM's to act like a shift light. IF I COULD EVEN SEE IT> i dont know why but i can only type in upper or lower case only now???

The shift light is a function of the instrument cluster programming. There is a guy on ls1gto that used to do them, but I'm not sure if he does now or not. PCM programing will not turn it on. There are also several neat features that cluster reprogramming can effect.

No, the shift light function in HPT will not control it, and no, there is no available aftermarket program. The person or people who have hacked the instrument cluster programming have not released any public software. I wish there were something available, because I am not about to take my instrument panel out and send it to someone for programming. Luckily, the aeroforce scangauges have a shift light function now.

i cant believe no one has done this yet. the guy at the track was charging like $150 to do it. which the money isnt the issue its the fact that its a 1 time deal if he does it.

It sucks, but at least you don't have a new Dodge, with NO available public programming software for ANYTHING.

I told you on the other forum: gtoshiftlight.com. There is no available software. Chris figured out how to do it and he's not sharing that info publicly. The only way to do it is to send him your cluster or have him do it in person through the OBDII port.

The key is in the BCM, not PCM. I think you can do it if you know where to look AND can rewrite the BCM. HPT has it as a drop down to adjust (in PCM), but if the BCM doesn't enable it, yer not getting anything.
That said, I had Chris do mine, as he did all the lights and needle color changes for me too, and once I got to digging inside the cluster and radio I saw the value in his service. Fry one BCM or cluster and you will wish the bill was only 125 and a Fedx slip....
BTW he only charges 10 bucks to do resets or adjustments in the future after the first hit.
He bought the equipment, hacked and figured the BCM things and he rightfully owns the process he came up with. I wish you well, and if you figure it out, start a biz and make some $$.
