Default Shock recommendation for '78 TA WS6

I had Sensa-Trac shocks on the front and they are crap. After about 2 years of use (approx. 1000/yr) they're both dead. So, I'm looking for another pair and came across AFCO shocks. Has anyone had any experience with these? I've never heard the name before. I'm looking for a stiff ride rather than luxury (like a road racing application) and don't want the sensitivity valving inside (like the Sensa-Tracs). I know Konis and Bilsteins are recommended for these cars, but these seem to be a better price. TIA.

A 78 Cool; I miss the Pontiac motor division cars. If you're ever in the market for a Pontiac engine for that car, check out Butler Performance. Their engines can easily embarrass the best LSX engines. Check em out... http://www.jbp-pontiac.com/products/...es/engineS.htm

I have the low cost auto store shocks on my 79. I believe made by gabriel. They work for my bone stock 400-4spd.
