Default Cam on Stock Manifolds?..

Ok...I have been having more and more of a tapping sound inside the motor...Im thinking it may be a lifter issue....so...that said, will I be ok with a cam on stock manifolds for a while?..I know LTs will bring out the power, but will I be ok until I get some?.

I don't know why it would hurt the car, but what does that have to do with a lifter issue?

I did that on my first 99 Z, but what a difference lt's make, but at least you'll get to enjoy the idle.

Just installed my TR224 with stock heads and stock manifolds (I'm in Cali so long tubes just aren't a legal option). I should be going to the track next wednesday to see how it performs. I'm really hoping to pickup 3 tenths, but if I only get a tenth and half to two tenths, I'll be content considering I haven't even tuned it yet. If I don't pick up anything I'll be a bit disappointed to say the least.

99-TR-CHEATR-CAM Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
"CheaTR" - 214/230 .601/.575 117 LSA. Off Idle-6800 RPM Power Band. Broad power range. Works well with stock exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. Stock like idle. Minor tuning required on automatic transmission cars. Responds very well to nitrous. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Double valve springs and titanium retainers required for this cam.

99-TR-CHEATRLS2-CAM Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft

Minor tuning required on automatic transmission cars. Responds very well to nitrous. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Comp 921 Valve Springs are highly recommended.
