Glad to hear someone is getting their long tubes. Wish we could say the same for the QTP's. I hope they are worth the wait.....

Email me the Jpegs and I will post them for you. I'd love to see them since these are the headers that I am looking at buying.

You can go look at More Performance if you want to see pictures right now. They are the Kooks coated headers.

I got my SS Kooks 1 3/4 and RT Y pipe a couple of weeks ago. Everything from the headers to the clamps are very nice. I only wish they would have sent some install instructions. It took me about 4 hours to figure out how to get the drivers side in.

I took off the starter and the oil filter and mine slide right up in very very easy. I have installed SLP and Hooker headers and the Kooks were by far the easiest. Kooks headers are a great product and you don’t have the wait time like some other headers.

First I pulled off the oil diverter plate and all the metal line covering. I had read a post where it said you had to take out the bolt in the motor mount and jack up the driver’s side of the engine. I did this and I still couldn't get past the K member and where the oil filter goes. So then I thought that maybe pulling out the motor mount bolts on the passenger side so I could jack up the entire engine would help. I tried this and still couldn't get it past the same place. I then tried from the top and no luck. I went and searched the post that said to pull the engine mount bolt to see if there was any more info. Low and behold he said to face the collector down and shove like shi$$ (in not so many words). I did this and it went right past the K member and the oil filter location. Then I ran into the engine mount bracket on one side and the fender well on the other. I just took a small hammer to the point where the flange was sticking on the fender well and then gave a good shove and it popped right in. I would say that if I knew how to do it in the 1st place, I could have done it in 30 minutes or less. Sometimes being gentle just doesn't pay.

Thanks for the compliments. They are 1 3/4 into 3inch coll. I also went with the 304 SS option and am not going to get them ceramic coated. The RT Ypipe is kinda on order from kooks but Nick is doing his best to get them out ASAP. I believe they are waiting for a new shipment of cats. Glad to hear that they are easy to install. Wish I had the tools to do it.

Yep, just take off the starter and the passenger side almost falls in. On the driver’s side, take off the oil filter and jack the transmission up just a hair. Then have a buddy pry over on the transmission just a little because the header flange gets caught on the block just a little.

My Kooks went in so easy. Took 10 minutes tops to get them in to place to be bolted down.
