LOL! Mine looks like they were done exaclty that. mashed and dinged all over, especially on the corners. The casting was top quality from what I could tell.

Are you talking heads or blocks?

My Stage 2 L92 heads from Richard at WCCH in perfect condition.

Every L92 head that I have received has been 100% perfect. I have heard of people getting heads with minor flaws in them. GMPP Heads are not seconds or "blems" as some have suggested.

If you receive heads with flaws I would appreciate knowing about it.

I will need

1) Digital pictures of the flaws or damage.
2) Digital pictures of the packaging for the head.
3) The name of the dealer where you purchased your heads.

After I review the information I will forward it to the proper people at GMPP.

Please PM me and I will give you an e mail address to send the information.

I also talked with Ed at one point. He wasn't concerned as most of the areas that were damaged were to be cut or modified in some way.

Thanks

Robin

I find virtually all of the castings to be in great shape. Occasionally I find one that has a small ding on a corner that resulted from shipping as the box showed signs of mishandling. But nothing like the heads were dragged behind a delivery truck. We surface mill all our reworked heads so those dings disappear.

My L92's were perfect compared to the way my LS7's. The LS7's were terrible.

I recieved my L92's in perfect condition from my local Chevrolet dealer. As a matter of fact I about cut my hands picking them out of the box on the edges of the machined surfaces.

Funny that, When i picked mine up the other day the dealer cut his thumb handing them to me, the edges are razor sharp!!

Mine were mint right out of the box.
My machinist just did a touch up cut on the deck surface
and nice valve job for the aftermarket valves I am using. Ship it!
For less than $200 each, these heads are an awesome deal for sure!

Mine have some extra globs in the ports here and there. A couple of them looked like they were circled with a paint marker for cleanup or quality control. All the machined surfaces have a fairly rough RA to them. Like enough where I question whether they will seal. The deck has me the most worried. I will get some pics up in a couple of days. I got them from the local GM dealership, and they were a early set.
