Default My new ride.. the slow and the curious..

Well not that slow.. ~ after LOTS of research.. i picked my new car.. the criteria was:

$22k or less
Can get out of its own way
a nice color
fun to drive
good resale
Four Doors with decent trunk
and a good discount from MSRP

I looked at the Mini Cooper (too slow but a close second) and the Neon SRT-4 (Fast as hell but still FWD) - also neither of these cars were going for below MSRP and i hate paying retail..

In the end I got a WRX.. its pretty quick and handles like a champ. It had a great list of standard feature (ABS, AWD, 6 disc CD, AC, PS, etc) and the build quality of the interior was much better than the Neon.. It should make a nice daily driver.. maybe an auto-x or two I also got the short throw shifter and compass/dimming mirror. Now, how to increase that darn boost

All the tech data on a WRX:
http://irvinesubaru.com/enthu/wrx2003.html

Here it is (sorry for the cruddy pics):

Hurray! No spoiler

sport seats (with side airbags), Momo steering wheel and plenty of room:

The blue is VERY nice.. I wouldnt mind the SS in this color

Oh, since the 04's are hitting the lots I got it for $3500 off MSRP or $21,750! I even made them throw in the $200 titanium shift ****..

Oh 2 Fast and 2 Furious! :p

Nice, I like the WRX! Lots of bang for the buck, and certainly fun to drive as a DD.

Nice buy man. You just need to go back to that dealer and get the spoiler that you forgot. It makes that car look so much better too.

I'd kill for a WRX daily driver. Nice pick. Are some big rims, a drop, spoiler and a up in boost in the near future?

Nice ride, especially for a daily driver. I rode in one of those the other day and they are pretty quick, but definately up the boost level.

Needs 19's

Sweet buy. Wish I could affort that as a daily driver. All in good time... besides, I only live a mile away from work anyway.

I saw a pretty cool thing the other day though.. a mini chopper. I hear they run for around 4-5K. That would be a cool way to get to and from work in good whether. Hmmmm...

Would buy local since I couldnt bring myself to buy from a place called "import hookup" Found them for around $1300 with tires.. Other than that and some tint/xpel im not doing much.. dont wanna screw up the warranty.. then again Ive heard an up-pipe makes a big difference

Wrapped in a 225/40/18 Nitto 555 tire..
