I drove around for 5 days before I could get my exhaust done. I had a quick drivability tune, and the O2s were still unhappy. They sit too close to the end of the pipe, and as you slow down, cold air comes in and effects their readings.
Aside from being careful while decelerating, it was obnoxiously loud, and rattled my driver's side window whenever it was up. I don't recommend it for any length of time. Besides, why not wait and do it all at once?

If you have at least 12 inches of straight pipe you will be fine. I ran my mufflers off the collectors and about 15 inches of pipe and a turn down and I loved the way it sounded and its perfectly healthy that way.

I drove mine with open headers to Grand Prairie this past Saturday (25 miles) and had the time of my life throwing rev's at everyone I saw no SES light with rear sims installed. Did throw the light on both front O2's 2 minutes after startup with catted y-pipe welded in. Did the PCM reset and no more light yet.

I can remember when I did open headers for about 3 weeks, drove it about every other day. One time I almost lost an eye becuase I got on it and the change in my ash tray flew up and hit me in the face. But it was badasp, the bums in town loved it , made a couple mustangs **** their pants when I pulled along side them and launched.
It may be ghetto but if youy had to you could go to Autozone and pick up two 18" flexible exhaust pipes and then a couple of band clamps and rig up your stock exhaust to help you go a little longer, until you get your duals
