Talking Will a 04 cobra t56 fit in a ls1 f-body
Stupid ? but was wondering if an 04 Cobra trans would fit in an ls1 camaro or is the input shaft a different spline. I need to know asap as I need a trans for my car so i can sell it.

Cobra has a 10 spline input and ls1 has a 26 spline input. Wont work.

Well, the difference between the 93-93 (LT1) and 98-02 (LS1) mated T56, require the change of bell housing, front plate and input shaft. I would have to assume that those are different in a mustang as well. You also might have to swap out the tail shft/housing. not sure.

Also the 03-04 cobras ran off of a clutch cable where as Fbodys run on hydraulic clutch systems.
