Default Cam choices again

Here's what I want: Smooth Idle (sounding near stock), good mid range and great top end. Mods are in my sig (basically Longtubes, no cats, cutout, airbox, maf, ported and polished TB, 3.73s). It's a 6 speed car, and I have LS-1 edit to tune. Stock heads for now. Maybe spraying it later on down the road.

Here are the two cams I was looking at:
220/220 .553/.553 114LSA
224/224 .561/.561 114LSA

What do you think? Is either one better then the other for what I want?

Also, does anyone have the specs on a stock 2002 camshaft? Thanks for your opinions!

Why not split the difference.

MTI C1 Cam on a 114 LSA 222/222 .566/.566

Makes good power and is very streetable.

The TR224's I've heard don't have a smooth, stock like idle even on a 114 LSA. For what you want I'd get a TR220 114 or C1 on 114.

I think the TR220 would be a good choice as well.

All those mentioned are good cams.

You wont go wrong.

I would recommend the C1 hammer for some sweet 10.8's or the little smoother but stronger C2 for tasty 10.6's in the 1/4 mile.

Dont go much bigger than the cams you have listed...and youll find life is fast, quick and easy.

Good luck.
