Default Which TSP H/C package would you choose?

I was set on TSP's LS6 heads and MS4 combo. But I been reading alot of good things regarding the ms3 coupled with the terminator heads. The ms4 won't fit with the terminator heads without flycutting but the ms3 will.

So which of the 2 would you choose and why? Btw, I was also possibly considering the torquer v3 with ther terminator heads

Only thing that sways me with the MS cams is from what I have been reading the lack of power under the curve hense possibly the torquer v3. I realize lower gears would get me in the power band alot quicker so a 4.10 moser would be the next in line project.

Intentions of the car is a every other weekend play car with occasional track time. I would like to crank out 450-500rwhp

98 T/A kooks headers, A4 stalled 3600

Thank ahead of time for your inputs!

The magic sticks should get you there, but I would go with the Torquer for more under the curve power.

Magic sticks are too big for my taste.

The MS3 is notorious for being soft down low, but the MS4 does a lot better under the curve than the MS3.

My own personal experience with an MS4/LS6 is a good one.
My friend installed the MS4 into his otherwise stock LS6 long block..It runs GREAT..
It just seems to hit right..4.10's & Jeremy Formato tune make it all work on the street.
Totally streetable as long as your not an old man..& gets 23 mpg highway.
Long tubes required..3" QTP Y-pipe help,too.

The ms4 won't fit with the terminator heads without flycutting but the ms3 will.
If you go with this setup(termy's+MS3), make sure you order those heads with recessed valves, it wont clear otherwise.

I sure wish TSP would have told me that when I ordered my terminator's

Pardon my ignorance but what are the "terminator" heads from TSP?

EDIT: Never mind I found them.

Might want to read the results people have had with them first.

You'll not hit anywhere close to 500rwhp on a stalled A4 with those heads.
MS4 can get close but only in high compression form with flycut, TFS/AFR heads and a shitload of detailing hours.

Thats called attention to detail. Something they lack very much. Great prices and they move a lot of product but their attention to detail is very lacking. Having bought from a dedicated head builder I now know what I've been missing.
If TSP would put as much attention into detail and quality control as they do pricing and selling then they would be un-beatable.

I guess I'm asking which of the 2 setups would bring me closer to my 450-500rwhp goal?

From what I've been reading on here, it would be the ms3/terminators setup

Depends on who you ask. It should be a good combo for you but theres no gauranty. For a couple hundred more I'd go a different route. The terms are good with an ls6 intake maybe but I added a 90 and didnt gain anything with it. There is a port mismatch on the intake side that is substantial when matched against a 90.

You've got an A4? You'll need the planets lines up for 450-500. For the money for the terms 1899 with .660 lift springs I'd go afr's and have Tony spec you a cam. Tell him I sent ya... lol

If your deadset on a TSP combo then the ls6 heads stage 2.5 with ms4 would be my choice.

You could also look at Patriot if your trying to save money. They have outstanding customer service and would be my choice for saveing money on heads. Customer service is far far far better

Wow I had no idea we had poor attention to detail. We use the BEST cnc valve job system available! I believe AFR is the only company that even offers LS heads that feature a cnc valve job system like our Newen.

Checkout some of the dyno results in the dyno section.

460rwhp heads cam with ls6 stage 1 heads & ls6 intake:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/760837-tsp-prc-ls6-ms3-460rwhp.html

494rwhp Terminator head combo with the intake that you claim makes no additional power on terminators
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/760089-ryans-performance-texas-speed-494rwhp-na.html

That's just what's currently on the first page, but I think you guys get the idea.

Here's the bottom line:

We pay so much attention to detail that our cylinder heads valve depths are checked to within .0004"! We also build a valve job with virtually no run out! Tell me how many cylinder head shops on ls1tech can tell you that?

Checkout www.newen.com & http://www.newen.com/automotive/pdf/...06-CLAM-GB.pdf
for more information on the valve job that goes into EVERY SET of PRC cylinder heads.

I guess even cylinder head only shops feel they need to bad mouth PRC products in a attemp to gain some market share. Honestly all that does is let me know we're doing the right things!!

I recently tuned a Texas Member's car who was running PRC stage 2.5 LS6 heads with 59cc chambers and a cam similar to TSP Torquer V3. It made dynojet numbers in the 460s for rwhp and torque in the 440s. The mid-range torque was phenomenal.

Very good cylinder heads, lots of compression, and well-matched camshaft. Combo, combo.

Patrick Tony M. to port a fast 90/90 combo for that thing! I'd like to see her hit 490s!
