Default Cleaning oil out of intake

What would be a good solvent to clean oil out of a LS1 intake? Its off the engine, and dripping with oil. Would brake cleaner be too harsh?

For better or worse, I used carb cleaner in all my LS6 intake runners and sprayed a bunch in the throat as well. Then I washed it out with water and dried it with compressed air. I used a brass brush on the runners to try to get the caked on residue off. Mixed results there.

I removed all the sensors beforehand, though.

Thanks for the reply, looks like I will be trying your method. My intake does not have any sensors in it right now, so that wont be an issue.
