Default Quieting down a Loud Mouth

A currently have Jet-Hot long tube headers, an ORY, and the SLP LoudMouth catback with the resonator. It is entirely way too loud. Would the LoudMouth 2 muffler sound good and quiet it down enough or is there a better option? I have heard that the Borla XR1 mufflers have clearance issues, and I am wondering how much a Dynomax Bullet would quiet it down. Thanks for your help.

I think the LM exhaust is designed to work with a factory style exhaust with cats. I think that's most of the problem. Putting a Bullet in there would probably quiten it down a little.

What would be better, the LM2 or the bullet?

I can't comment on what the LM2 sounds like but your cheapest option is adding the Bullet for $30 and then the cost of having it cut and welded into your setup.

Agreed. I know of a few that have put the Borla race bullet in the intermediate pipe with the Loudmouth and it sounded pretty good.

I have the LM2 with jet hot LTs and ORY....it sounds awesome in my opinion. I'm very pleased...if I think about it tomorrow, maybe i'll get a sound clip for you. anyway, the LM2 gets my vote....and if you have the newer loudmouth modular system, it will just clamp in, no cutting/welding involved.

Wait a minute... what?

The LM1 and LM2 are exactly the same besides the resonaters, or bullet mufflers.
I have the LM1 and the Resonator is just a big hollow can with SLP on it, the LM2 Resonator looks the same but has a noise reduction design on the inside.

I say get a Borla resonator, maybe even a glasspack
But there are many options though, just by switching the resonator.
Borlamouth, Magnamouth, Dynamouth, and several others.

i also must give a vote for a hooker aerochamber it fairly quiet and clean sounding but really sounds good at WOT as well as flowing pretty well from what i've seen
