Can a non-intercooled Magnacharger fit a stock C5 hood?
I thought I remembered a thread years back (search isn't working) where somebody took off the hood pad, and it barely fit.....
This morning I raced a hot-rodded 930 turbo Porsche and it was way too close to say who won (he would pull down low and I'd real him in up top)
I'm buying a Maggie almost immediately, but I love the lines of the stock hood, I don't want an aftermarket one...
Is there any solution? Thanks
ps- and NO I wont I wont buy a Procharger/Vortech/APS.... I'm going for simpicity and 100 rwhp...

Unfortunately, I have never seen anyone make a stock hood work, unless they cut a hole in it. Maybe with a ton of custom work, milling off everything possible, and removing some of the underhood skeleton, **MAYBE**
but I would only do it on an in-house basis, and wouldn't guarantee I could do it.
Feel free to give me a call if you want to discuss it,
Ed

Ed, I'll call you Monday, thanks for the pm...
Chris, I'm thinking about juice, but I'd rather pay for a boosted set-up and have the 100rwhp all the time.
I could get a heads/cam, but I've done all the progressive stuff the last time around with my Firehawk and ended up boosted anyway.
I got spoiled on a Lingenfelter 'charged '02 coupe we had/sold.... The blower whine going through the gears was intoxicating. I'm hooked.

I'd want a roots or twin screw. Much cleaner/simpler.

Kenne Bell with hood is cheaper than maggie price, without hood included.
Plus room to grow power wise.
