Default Any DOD lifter failures????

We had one this week, 5.3l trailblazer motor. 224r cam 918's with a MP122 magnuson @13-14psi. Its spun to about 6500 on the shifts, nothing to crazy. One of the DOD liters cracked and the pin slid out. Good thing it was heard right away and it was pulled apart before it hurt anything.

Ok lets keep this thread rolling. I didn't bother looking at the lifter tray that close, but its different then the non dod motors, it has a notch in it for clearence on the dod block. So to put non dod lifters in it you have to modify the liter trays.

Why not just use non-AFM lifter trays? They're only $5 each.
