Just like the title. Does anyone have any pics of the Pioneer DEH-P77DH installed. Day pics, night pics, all pics!
And what are yall's opinions of this HU? I want to keep the stock 1.5 size and this seems to be my best option. I just use regular CD's so thats all I really need. Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Jason

Was the new Pioneer you went with the full size HU or the small one that requires the adapter plate to fill in the extra space?

i know you say you mainly use cd's but there's nothing like being able to put 1000 mp3's on a dvd, and play that shit in your car. eliminates the need for a cd changer. or multipule cds.

Pioneer DEH-P6900UB
I think I have decided to go with that model instead.
It comes with the wiring harness kit, the connector kit and this

should that make it appear to be the factory size? I figure I can always get something from humount eventually but I just wanna know if this will work or not. And how would I integrate it with the steering wheel controls?

The tabs on the sides look right for the 4 screws holding in the source unit so that should work. As for the steering controls PAC SWI-X adapter and your all set!!

The HUMount is nice but they keep going up on price...It used to be like $40.00...now it's like $60.00!! Still...probably the nicest kit out for a 1.5 DIN to single DIN adapter IMO.
Most go with a single DIN just because of the option factor..lots more of em!! The DEH-P77DH is a very nice unit though...even has 3 4volt preamp outs if you want to run everything off a seperate 4channel amp and a sub amp.

So will I need to purchase something like the humount or will that kit I showed you do the same thing?

Haha yea I figure it wont, and will be getting the humount eventually, but for now I just dont want a huge hole in my dash around the receiver looking like junk :)
How easy was the install of the humount and did you go with the light up version? and was brushed aluminum or black plastic?

i went with the black plastic lightup and it was really easy, one ground and a wire hooked up to the dimmer for the radio harness.

Oh alright, sounds easy enough. So you just soder in the wires? And do you have to do the things like is online, such as press in the bulbs and such? Or does it come like that now? For some reason I thought I read they were doing that before shipping now...
the one thing I just dont like working with is electricity so thats why I ask so many questions. Been shocked to hell a few times in the house while doing electrical stuff (damn you dad for not flipping the fuse off like you said :bang: ) so I just like to have all my ducks in a row before purchase and install ya know
