Started out to be a 98 z with a crack block and the owner had that cam that he was going to install in his LS1 and never did so know I have that cam. ( I bought the car for 1200 and it has 105000 miles and looks like new) could not find a LS1 block so I got a 2001 LQ4 short block with 52000 miles and was doing the bild as cheap as I can MIGHT consider on a new cam any sug. but will kep my LS1 heads. need cam that would work good with my combo.and heads

The stock heads from the LQ4 should be 317's. These should flow the same as the LS6 heads but have larger chambers. I would think you would be better suited to mill the 317's to get the compression up and go from there. This is assuming the LS1 heads you have are stock. Also don't forget to upgrade the valve springs for whichever head you decide to use.

Good cam for stock LS1 heads(spring upgraded) on LQ4 block and stock LS1 intake? I would hate to know that 300 to 400 for a cam could cost me 30,40 or 50 horses thanks Mike
