Default Will lid for a V8 work on a v6 also?

I'm selling a guy a CAI, lid, and K 'n' N but he has a V6 what all will be needed for the swap? He has an elbow stye cold air tube and a homemade sheetmetal cover where his factory lid was.

Thanks Nick W.

The lid will not fit...on a v6 the tube part on the air lid is off centered. The catback would need some custom fab work to fit from an exhaust shop.

If it's the 3.8 the CAI should fit (SLP does), but not the lid - Whisper sells one.

He said he'll use new tubing to the TB. Will using my shroud make it easier?

Any decent exhaust shop can make the Rumbler work on a V6 car. You just need a little "S" section after the cat and before the catback to bolt it all up (also V8 hangers in the rear). Budget for about $50 or so in additional parts to put any LS1 catback on a V6 car. SLP sells a kit that has all of this, but it's a bit more expensive than doing it yourself, of course!

408z28; yes PM me your # if he doesn't take it then I'll call you $100 (NO TIPS).

The main concern is bolting the lid down. Said he'd make it connect.

The absolute best way to adapt the V8 lid to a V6 car would be to cut out the center of the lid around the outlet to the left side of the lid, and then flip that piece and epoxy it back together. Otherwise you will end up trying run the intake hose from the center of the lid to the offset driver side TB in just little bit of space and that will not be ideal.
