Where to get guage overlays for a '00 SS?
Does anyone make a one-piece overlay, or all of them seperate like that? I wanted to get mine that say SS or Camaro SS on it. Im not sure on what color to get as far as the background goes. Everyone has white face guages and I wanted to get away from those by going with a different color. I have a '00 black Camaro SS with a red, black, and chrome scheme going. What color do you think that I should go with? Please list all the places where they sell them for my car so that I have a bit of a variety, thanks. By the way, how hard are they to install? Is there any way to make a mistake by installing these? I ask, because a buddy of mine says that his needles are off now, (NOT MENTIONING ANY NAMES, NO OFFENSE, JUST ASKING) and I was wondering if it was a mistake made by him because he didnt do it right, or it was the overlays themselves. I take it that the needles need to come off? Could you give me a brief description on how to install them, thanks again.

I went with silver gauges which I really like similar to this:

You don't have to remove the needles. The silver gauge overlay is from MacEwan Motoraports http://store.yahoo.com/macewenmotorsports/index.html
I paid $100. It just looks awesome in my TA plus I have silver paint. Doing silver autolite gauges with a pillar pod soon. At night the silver is black and the numbers are red (chevy is white). To help the install, I used a little water with a few drops of soap so I could move the overlays exactly where they need to be. It's hard to get them exact.
You can get small SS logos from Teri tlane@spacehab.com like in these pics:

The one that you provided in the reply, where are those from? Do those decals come on the overlays, or are they seperate? Where can I get some that have the decals already on it? "At night the silver is black and the numbers are red (chevy is white)." Does that go for the one thats in the pic? How much is the one thats in the pic? Thanks

That checkered one is cool. I think the silver stands out more.

I'm the one who's needles are off Its just the MPH gauge. Im thinking of just sending my cluster to Granatelli and getting the 200MPH speedo. They will recalibrate everything after installation.
Are you pondering what im pondering?

Check this recent thread out. I'm going with Dyno Pro Auto and I'll be ordering the Gauge Overlays and HVAC and Headlight overlays also. Silver with a Trans Am logo across the Hvac overlay and the firebird logo and WS.6 on the gauges. Guage Overlay thread
