Default help me choose a catback

Well i ordered Pacesetter Lt's and a TSP cat y pipe today, now all i need is the catback. I origianlly wanted a loudmouth but after some reading i heard that it doesnt always sound too good. I'm going to be getting a cam soon too. I know about ls1sounds.com but that doesnt really capture how exhaust actually sounds. I thought about keeping the stock (have a flowmaster muffler) and putting a single post cats cutout. I want to keep the price AROUND $400. Any ideas or REALLY good sound clips will help. Thanks in advance.

Hooker or Magnaflow are both good choices for the $400 budget. The Hooker will be a bit quieter and more refined than the Magnaflow. The Magnaflow will be a tad raspier and louder than the Hooker.

if you are planning on getting a cutout in the future i would just keep the catback you already have. since i got my cutout i hardly even close it, so my catback is useless.

I had an LT1 a few years back and they sound completely different then the LS1's. I had the same exhaust mods on both cars and the LT1 sounded better. If all you have to spend is 400 then I agree get the Magnaflow, but also install a cut out. You get the best of both worlds.

Ever look into Corsa catback (I know you stated $400 price range but I had to put in my .02) As far as Ihave been able to find info, the Magnaflow is a good flowing catback around your price range.

If you are worried about the sound get a Magnaflow. Sounds great and does not get too noisey after H/C.
