Default Side exhaust and ground effects

If i got ground effects and cut some openings for some z28 tips would the heat melt the fiberglass or the paint?

dude that'd be pimp if you could make it work. I doubt that the fiberglass would melt...the paint might burn or melt though....

all i'm really worried about is the paint burning i've seen some of the little beat up ricers that have that exhaust burn stuff but i didn't know if it's just black cause they don't wipe it off or not

The mustangs do it with no problems. It would look killer that's for sure. This question pops up every now and then but no one ever seems to do it.

I wouldn't think so, as long as the tips don't make direct contact with the fiberglass. I think the T/As would have a problem if it would melt fiberglass.

Another idea might be to have the exhaust tips ceramic coated to keep some of the external heat down.
