LT4 hotcam gains?
Im planing on getting a LT4 hotcam, im just wondering what type of gains should i expect from it. My best time is a 14.14@97mph that was over a year ago with the stock valve springs and worn tires. my mods are listed below.

I forgot to add that i did a complete rebuild to a 355 when i did the cam. And i did an EWP, and the old motor had 7 of the rings blown out. So the gain from just the cam should be around 40 or so WHP

I gained 40-50rwhp when I put it in my fresh Engine compared to the old one. It was still a 350, just everything freshened up.
I was goin to WTF that first part until I read the second one..that's a big part to forget..

Quite honestly, the LT4 hotcam is a tired, dated approach. There are FAR better cams out there.
Also... you NEED supporting mods for a cam. Dropping in a cam alone will not net you much. Longtubes, better springs (better than the LT4 ones), bigger valves, porting heads AND intake, electric water pump, yada yada yada.
Then there's the "build the bottom end FIRST" thing... a cam on a tired motor is a bad idea.
Oh... and if you buy a used cam, you deserve what you get.
