Default 2006 GTO A4 Dyno - Mustang Dyno?

Question for you guys...what do you think a Mustang Dyno result would look like?? Supposively results are from a dynojet... but something is fishy...

My friend just dynoed and ended up with 293rwhp and 306rwtrq (SAE)...

From what Ive seen he is missing about 30 from each.... thoughts??

Pretty close to that on a Mustang dyno. How hot was it? LS2s have BAAAAAAAAAD heatsoak issues to the tune of 10+ degrees of timing pulled at operating temp.

That's about right.. it's a stock LS1 through an A4. Inflated numbers sell though.. so that's what you see. Dyno's are all going to vary anyway.

Ive heard of stock A4 LS2 goats making around 320-330 on an dynojet, so that isnt that bad, but his numbers should be alittle higher. On a hot day, with a rich factory tune, and on a stingy Mustang dyno, that is possible. I wouldnt worry too much. Tell him to get a some headers.

Looks like it was on a Dynomite (which Ive seen AKA Mustang Dyno)...

Funny thing..today he got a tune (from a handheld tuner) and suddenly put down 361rwhp... Seem Fishy to you guys? Does me...

BTW...I realize the whole anti-mustang dyno / anti-dynojet thing is out there but It doesnt really matter which one is 'more accurate' if 90% of the people use one over the other does it? Mustang Dyno results might be accurate but damn near worthless for comparing to other peoples results. I do realize that dynos are a tool and comparing results is worthless between two different dynojets let alone mustang vs dynojet... but at least if you compare two dynojet numbers you can tell if your car is screwed up when its 30rwhp less than everyone else you know?

Sorry for long post..just wanted to prevent the nut jumping that happens on here. Thanks

Dynojet = dyno queen numbers to flash around on the internet and brag about how much bigger your e-dick is than the next guy

Mustang Dyno = superior tuning tool as its more of a real world load based dyno that is closer to actually driving on the road

Personally I try to get all tuning done on a Mustang dyno, then get Dynojet numbers just to know what it makes so I know if I'm on par

Agree with ya Josh99ta...

Still trying to figure out why his first numbers were obviously like mustang dyno numbers, then his 'predator tune only' car just picked up ~70rwhp and now they look like really really good dynojet numbers. WTH.
