ebay would probably the cheapest

but I would go with a local autoparts place even if I had to pay a reasonable amount more

I was on e-bay last night checking out compressors, Average was $130-$150 for a reconditioned unit (aftermarket), and $300 reconditioned GM/ACDelco unit.

I bought a NEW unit from Advance Auto and the damn thing will run you out of the car it gets so cold and I am in NC where it has been 100+ degrees here. It takes about 5 minutes to really get cool. The new unit was around 300 with a two year warranty.

Do you know for sure if the compressor is bad? To make sure straight wire the ac relay(pins b1 to b4) and see if the clutch kicks in.
