Sounds like a decent deal. What are the options? The more options, the bigger the deal is. 4-speed is also worth a few extra bucks. Check the rear inner tail panel for rust. You will have to look underneath the rear bumper to see. They also tend to rust at the bottom of the A pillars and the rear frame rails. You could probably part the car out and make money. The late 2nd gens are starting to creep up in value as decent ones are getting difficult to find. Good luck!

He told me it has turbo 350 wich i believe is 3 spd. If the inner tail is rusted is that something i can find on line and install/replace fairly eaisy. I know it will need paint seats carpet and probably all new interoir. I am gong to look at it tonight. May just try and offer him 500$ The thing is I know lots about late models and not these old ones.

The tailpanel is available aftermarket and would require cutting and welding. If it is not so bad, it can be easily patched. Most interior pieces are now available from NPD and others. They are nothing like our 4th gens but they are fun and relatively easy to make them fast. Does it have A/C? How about aluminium wheels? What color combo is it (ext/int/stripes)?

As mentioned above, more and more parts are becoming available for these cars. If the frame and most of the metal is in good shape, I'd say it's worth the $800. The reason people still aren't rushing out on these cars is their heavy weight compared with early 2nd gens and 1st gens, but they are much more affordable, thus more are being built up. Good luck if you get her, and post pics!

Pic's would help determine what it's worth. Would be a great project though.

I had a navy blue one, sharp cars.

Unless it's a POS, at $800, how can you go wrong?
