Whats the verdict on QTP LT's, worth the wait?
I've been waiting for months now... and Barry says they will go out next week or the week after...
They worth the wait/$$$ or is there something better I should go with?
As long as I've been waiting, these things better work miracles.

Yep, go with the Kooks. Same basic header design, and I believe you can still use the QTP ypipe on the kooks if you wanted dual cutouts.
I had a set of QTPs on order for quite some time before giving up and going with Kooks. Less than 2 weeks later my headers were in the car.

i definitly think QTP's are worth the wait, ill just say that mine are due in the same time and im waiting cause i want to see what those merge collectors can do. QTPs are cheaper. and does Anyone notice that qtp header flanges are matched to the ls1 exhaust port, the little extra you dont see. and also QTP found some flaws in the orignal header and made some improvements that kooks didnt make.

The QTP'are extremely nice pieces. Mine are in and looking very gold/blue. Not that I care how they look. Definitely woke the tsp 228r cammed motor up a lot. Next week we'll see how much of a mph/et gain I get.

I got my Hooker longtubes from a local speedshop (Barnett Performance) and they worked miracles and I only had to wait about 30minutes, I love my Hooker Headers!

Funny that you say that because I read a post that stated that Kooks said that they made improvements over the old Grott design.

I've been waiting for 2 weeks as well. But then again I've been wanting headers since January so I don't think another 1-3 weeks is gonna hurt... besides Barry won't charge you til they ship which I think is great and after talking to him I know he wouldn't sell a product that he wouldn't want on his car whether it be an issue of power gain or quality.

From what I heard. The QTPs headers are port matched to improve flow, they are cheaper than kooks, the QTP Y pipe is awesome (also optional cat version and cutout version), supposedly the Kook Y pipe is similar to the original grott Y
So eventually I am going with the QTP header system. Sometimes some things are worth the wait.....Just like losing you virg.....Ummmm scratch that last thought
